For over 83 years, it was one of the "Big Six" major American film studios; formed from the merger of the Fox Film Corporation and Twentieth Century Pictures in 1935. In 1985, the studio was acquired by News Corporation, which was succeeded by 21st Century Fox in 2013 following the spin-off of its publishing assets. In 2019, Disney acquired 20th Century Fox through its merger with 21st Century Fox.
20th Century Fox is a member of the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). It released The Wiggles Movie in Australia.
In 1998, The Wiggles first aired in the United States on Fox Family Channel, as part of Mister Moose's Fun Time from 1998-1999 and a spin-off series starring The Wiggles from 1998-2000, before moving to Playhouse Disney in 2002.
In 2006, 20th Century Fox distributed multiple HIT Entertainment video releases shortly after the release of Here Comes The Big Red Car. Previous videos (excluding Wiggly, Wiggly Christmas and Santa's Rockin'!) were also re-released with the Fox logo plastered on the disc.
