20th Century Studios, Inc. (formerly Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation (1935-1985) Twentieth Century Fox Film Corporation (1985-2020) or 20th Century Fox) is an American film studio that is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Studios, a division of The Walt Disney Company. The studio is located on the Fox Studio Lot in the Century City area of Los Angeles, California.
For over 83 years, it was one of the "Big Six" major American film studios; formed from the merger of the Fox Film Corporation and Twentieth Century Pictures in 1935. In 1985, the studio was acquired by News Corporation, which was succeeded by 21st Century Fox in 2013 following the spin-off of its publishing assets. In 2019, The Walt Disney Company acquired 20th Century Fox through its merger with 21st Century Fox.
20th Century Studios is a member of the Motion Picture Association (MPA). It released The Wiggles Movie in Oceania. According to a 2020 post on Twitter, Anthony Field has revealed the possibility of a sequel to the film, although it is unknown whether 20th Century Studios will have any involvement.
In 1998, The Wiggles first aired in the United States on Fox Family Channel, as part of Mister Moose's Fun Time from 1998-1999 and a spin-off series starring The Wiggles from 1998-2000, before moving to Playhouse Disney in 2002.
