Anthony is Blue.
Anthony decided to decorate his room. He bought paint and brushes. "I'll get new curtains, a new carpet and a new bed cover when I've finished painting," he thought.
"Can we help?" asked Greg. "It might make it easier for you to have some helpers," added Murray.
"Thanks, everyone," said Anthony, "but I want to do it all by myself. I'll show you when I'm finished."
"What colours have you chosen?" asked Jeff. "Blue of course," Anthony replied. "It's my favourite colour!"
Anthony worked all day. "I only have this corner to do," he said as he dipped the brush into the brilliant bright blue paint.
Anthony wiped up any small splashes of paint, cleaned his brushes, put everything away, and then looked around at his work.
The room was certainly blue. The walls were blue, the ceiling was blue and the floor was blue. "I hope it isn't too blue," Anthony thought.
Everyone come in to look. "It's certainly blue," said Dorothy doubtfully.
"Like the sea on a bright sunny day," added Captain Feathersword encouragingly. Henry nodded in agreement.
"It is not too blue is it?" Anthony worried. "We-e-ll," said Murray. "It is blue."
"What colour curtains were you thinking of Anthony?" asked Greg. "Um... blue," Anthony replied, "with a blue carpet and a blue bed cover."
Everyone looked at each other. No-one wanted to hurt Anthony's feelings after all his hard work but it did sound very blue.
"A blue carpet would be fine," said Murray. "To match the blue floor." Everyone nodded.
"Fine white curtains might look nice," suggested Jeff. "With just a touch of blue," added Dorothy.
"What about the bed cover?" Anthony asked. "Maybe the bed cover could have the other colours as well as blue," suggested Murray. "Like red."
"And yellow," added Greg. Jeff nodded. "Perhaps some purple, too."
"Some pictures on the walls would help," smiled Dorothy. Wags pointed to the ceiling and made a circle with his paws.
"That's right, Wags," laughed Captain Feathersword. "With stars and a moon up there, the ceiling would look like a starry, moonlit night."
Anthony looked much more cheerful. "Those are wonderful ideas," he agreed. "I should have asked you before I started!"
"Let's go shopping!" said Dorothy. "Come on Wiggles, Captain, Wags and Henry!"
Dorothy looked for beautiful curtains with just a touch of blue and Jeff found a deep blue carpet to match the floor.
Anthony chose a colourful bed cover. Captain Feathersword saw some stars and a moon for the ceiling while Greg and Murray searched for the right wiggly pictures.
Anthony arranged everything in his room. "I can't believe what a difference it all makes," he smiled. "Thank you everyone!"
"Just one more thing," said Dorothy as she entered the room carrying a vase of red roses. "I'll put these roses right here."
"My room really was too blue," smiled Anthony, "but now it's perfect. It just shows you can have too much a good thing, even blue!"
