"Directions" is the eighteenth episode of Series 2.

Overview[]

The Wiggles get lost on their way to meet Dorothy, finding themselves on all different streets.

Songs[]

  1. Look Both Ways from Toot Toot!
  2. Our Boat Is Rocking On The Sea
  3. Romp Bomp A Stomp (Live) from The Wiggly Big Show and Toot Toot Show!

Plot[]

Jeff tries to look for Greg's rabbit in the hat but falls asleep. Rabbit wakes him up but he misses it.

The Wiggles are walking down Sneezy Street and start sneezing. While trying to meet up with Dorothy, they later realize they are lost when they arrive at Lost Street. Jeff cries for help and Officer Beaples gives them directions which Murray writes down. They then journey across three streets: Windy Street, Wiggle Street and Cold Street.

Song 1: "Look Both Ways" (from Toot Toot!)

The Wiggles were slightly getting blown away while being in Windy Street.

Dorothy is waiting at the corner of Happy and Sad Street. Her mood changes depending on which side she is on.

Captain Feathersword tries to get Wags to walk the plank, but Wags tries to walk it like a doggy.

The Wiggles were having such a great time Wiggling in Wiggle Street.

Song 2: "Our Boat Is Rocking On The Sea" (new video and audio)

Dorothy is sad and the Wiggles are late. She is going to happy street, where Dorothy is happy. And she goes to sad street. where Dorothy is sad.

Henry gets The Underwater Big Band in tune.

The Wiggles finally meet up with Dorothy after freezing in Cold Street, but she and Anthony are on the Sad Street side and are crying. The others form a chain with Jeff pulling them over to the Happy street.

Song 3: "Romp Bomp A Stomp" (from The Wiggly Big Show)

Captain Feathersword continues trying with Wags, but Wags wants to dance the plank instead.

Greg and Anthony are trying to get the rabbit out again. Anthony's wearing an extra large hat and an extra large cape. Anthony wants to try it out first, and pulls out a slice of pizza out of Greg's hat.

CGI DUCK ANIMATION

A 30 second animation plays after this. It shows a small, yellow CGI Duck with orange webbed feet, going down a large, complex, twisty blue slide, because it needs to lay an egg in a big nest. The duck quacks twice and falls off the slide and into the pond underneath it. It swam towards the edge of the pond and hopped off, waddling towards the nest afterwards. The duck jumps into the nest and gets ready to lay an egg. It starts quacking repeatably, with the nest shaking all around. The duck suddenly quacks faster, as its eyes start bulging out slowly, until they get very, very wide and fat. The duck stops quacking and the nest stops shaking as a very, very large, fat, gigantic egg gets laid out of the duck's bottom, elevating the duck off the nest and off the egg. The egg shakes around rapidly until it finally hatches and we see Anthony inside the duck's ginormous egg this whole time. This ends with a rainbow transition.

The whole gang arrive at Captain Feathersword's place to do a dance, acting out all the different streets the Wiggles had visited.

Alternate titles[]

  • Lost at Wiggle World/Sing and Dance (Sprout title)

Trivia[]

  • The instrumental track of Get Ready To Wiggle was played during the Wiggle Street scene.
  • The instrumental track of Henry's Christmas Dance was played in the Henry the Octopus skit.
  • The Sneezy Street segment was reused from Family.
  • The episode marks the television debut of Romp Bomp A Stomp. Even though a video for the song was filmed in 1997 for TV Series 1 but ended up not being used.
  • This is the first time the CGI Duck egg laying animation is used to transition between one scene in another, the second being in D COWS AND DUCKS. The Duck animation is when a yellow duck quacks and waddles to a big nest to sit in and the duck lay a huge, fat, ginormous egg in it that hatches Anthony in the giant egg. In Directions, it ends with a rainbow transition and the Duck's quacking sound are different than in here. In COWS AND DUCKS, the Duck's quacks are louder and it ends with a eggshell transition

Goofs[]

  • Murray dropped his pencil during the Wiggle Street scene.
  • When the Wiggles cross the road to find Dorothy on Happy and Sad Street, they do not suddenly start crying while on sad street quickly (save for Anthony, Dorothy and Jeff). This might be because if one transitions from under both the signs on a curb rather than crossing the road, they will either laugh or cry.
