Knees Up Mother Brown is an Emma! (TV Series 2) song from Meet The Scientist!.
Lyrics
Emma: Knees up, knees up, never let the breeze up
Knees Up Mother Brown
Hey, Knees Up Mother Brown
Knees Up Mother Brown
Knees up, knees up, never let the breeze up
Knees Up Mother Brown
Oh, hopping on one foot
Hopping on one foot
Hopping, hopping, never stopping
Hopping on one foot
Hey, skipping round and round
Skipping round and round
Skipping, skipping, never tripping
Skipping round and round
(Instrumental break)
Oh, Knees Up Mother Brown
Knees Up Mother Brown
Knees up, knees up, never let the breeze up
Knees Up Mother Brown
Knees up, knees up, never let the breeze up
Knees Up Mother Brown
Trivia
- This song is based on the song of the same name from 1918, which was popular in London on the night that World War 1 (1914-1918) ended, and became a popular Cockney song in British pubs. Due to the bawdy and satirical nature of the original version, however, the lyrics in this version have been heavily rewritten.
