Let's Wiggle is a Wiggles short TV series. Featuring songs from The Wiggles' videos, concerts and full-length TV series.
It premiered on 1 July 1997[1][2] in Australia, on Disney Channel twice daily at 9am and 3pm. It also aired on Seven Network in Australia as a segment of the show The Book Place, Disney Channel UK's Underfives block (which would be later renamed as Playhouse Disney then Disney Junior), TVO in Canada and on TV3 in New Zealand.
Wiggly Songtime! and Wiggle Town! could be considered spiritual successors, although both have more exclusive content such as prologues and brief skits.
Format[]
The structure is very simple. The primary content is simply a music video (or Magic Greg segment), surrounded in most episodes by an intro and outro. The intro is taken from Wiggledance!, with the normal Wiggles logo replaced by the show's title. The outro is the same, with the addition of a copyright notice. Occasionally, the Let's Wiggle logo can be seen moving up the screen as it fades into the song (such as in the "Everybody Is Clever" and "Get Ready to Wiggle" episodes). This also happened to in Wiggledance, although revealing that video's title.
It appears as though later episodes (specifically those with songs from Toot Toot! and The Wiggles TV series 2) did not include the intro or outro. Songs featured in The Wiggly Circus fade in at the start, and fade out at the end. The "Food Food Food (Oh How I Love My Food)" episode as seen in the "Foodman" VideoNow release likewise fades in at the start, and appears to begin fading out before instead fading into the "Hot Potato" episode, which does contain the intro. The "John Bradlelum" episode, which has surfaced online as a TV3 recording, does not fade in or out, it simply hard cuts at the start and end of the episode. It's unclear whether this was specific to this network or to this episode.
Some episodes contain the song's prologues, such as "Quack Quack", while others do not, such as "Everybody Is Clever".
Earlier episodes were apparently taken from the full videos. This is especially evident in two episodes; a "whoosh" sound can be heard during the outro of the "Romp Bomp A Stomp" episode, a remnant of a transition following the song in the full Wake Up Jeff! video; and in "The Monkey Dance" episode, the transition from Yummy Yummy appears between the prologue and the song, as does the song title card from that video. However, later episodes were sourced from the raw edits of their respective music videos, as they often feature extended opening/closing shots when compared to their original video or episode appearances. These episodes also feature unique song title cards, the same in format as those seen in The Dorothy the Dinosaur and Friends Video.
"Toot Toot, Chugga Chugga, Big Red Car" is the only known episode of a song from Toot Toot! to contain the intro/outro, and not to have a song title card, indicating that this episode was created before the others.

Home Video Releases[]
While not considered a traditional home video release, episodes of "Big Red Car", "Head, Shoulders, Knees And Toes" and "I Climb Ten Stairs" are featured as part of the "Small Top" section in The Wiggly Circus PC game.
Episodes featuring The Wiggles Big Show live performances of "Quack Quack", "Ooh It's Captain Feathersword" and "Get Ready To Wiggle" are featured at the end of the VideoNow Jr. PVD release of the TV Series 1 episode "Wiggle Opera", which was released in the pack HE 1: 3 Disc Pack. The episodes containing "Food Food Food (Oh How I Love My Food)" (from Toot Toot!) and "Hot Potato" performed live in concert were released on the "Foodman" PVD from the pack HE 2: 3 Discs.
The episodes containing 1998 studio music videos of "Rock-A-Bye Your Bear", "Quack Quack", "The Monkey Dance" and "Get Ready To Wiggle" were released on a promo DVD in the UK called Introducing... The Wiggles in 2004.[13] Shortened versions of these 4 episodes (where in the Let's Wiggle intro is cut, as are any song prologues) were also used as previews on various UK retail/promotional DVDs from HIT Entertainment released in October 2004 to late 2006.[14][15][16][17]
The episode containing the 1998 version of "Toot Toot, Chugga Chugga, Big Red Car" was released on the bonus DVD of Hey! Hey! - Big Songs For Little People, a UK compilation CD released in 2007 (later re-released as "Pop Jr. TV Songs").
All the episodes featuring performances from The Wiggles Big Show we're sourced for the YouTube compilation of the former concert.
Trivia[]
- It is believed, but unconfirmed, that this series was sourced for the "Wiggle Time" segment in Mister Moose's Fun Time, as well as Playhouse Disney's "Wiggles Time" interstitial segment in the United States. Supporting the latter is that "Head, Shoulders, Knees And Toes" appears with the same song title card as seen in Let's Wiggle.

Notes[]
- ↑ The 5-minute time allotted was only given to this series when broadcasted on Disney Channel in Australia and TVO Kids in Canada, meaning all of the episodes are usually 1 to 3 minutes
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 There may only be one episode with the song "John Bradlelum", as it appears most Toot Toot! and TV series 2-based episodes were created at the same time.
