At the Drive-In[]

  • Post-hardcore band At the Drive-In performed live at annual Australian music festival Big Day Out on January 26, 2001 at the Sydney Showground. The performance was infamously cut short by the band due to an unrelenting crowd, which the band had tried to calm down between songs, but to no use.[1] Another bizarre aspect of this performance is that the stage the band played on seemed to reuse parts of the Yule Be Wiggling stage floor, with the brick pattern and logo still very much intact. Though this was not the main stage to accompany the festival, but rather a separate stage for up-and-coming bands on the lineup to perform, it is still quite a surreal sight to see such an intense band playing live on a Wiggles set piece. The reason for the festival using parts of the stage floor has yet to be confirmed, and likely will remain a mystery. (YouTube)
