Captain Feathersword: Ho-ho! Ahoy there, me hearties! It’s great to see you. (LAUGHS)
Paloma the Mermaid, look who’s here! (LAUGHS)
Let’s wave hello.
Hello, hello
Welcome to The Wiggles Show
Hello, hello
It’s lovely to see you
Hoo-hoo!
Hoo. Ho-ho!
I’m here in the Wiggly Kitchen, with Paloma the Mermaid, just waiting for the Wiggles to arrive. Hoo-hoo!
Ha.
I guess I’ll just wait here patiently.
Waiting.
Hum, de dum, ha…
Hum, de-dum, dum, dum, dum.
Dan, de-dum, dum.
Dum, dum-dum, dum.
(PALOMA THE MERMAID RATTLES GRINDER)
Captain Feathersword: Oh, that makes a great sound.
(LAUGHS) I love that shaky sound.
(CAPTAIN VOCALSES)
Wow, this is fun!
There’s so many different musical sounds here in the Wiggly Kitchen. Hoo-hoo-hoo!
In the kitchen you will hear
It’s music to your ear
In the kitchen you will play
The kitchen symphony way!
The pots and pans go
A-rum, tum, tum
The salt shaker, it goes
A-shake, shake, shake
Hot Pot’s mouth is open wide.
Hot Pot: For a pie or a cake to bake.
Captain Feathersword: The barbecue tongs go
A-clickety clack.
The frypan starts to
Ss! Ss! Sizzle!
The cheese grater it goes
A-grate, grate, grate.
As the kettle let’s out a whistle.
(WHISTLES)
In the kitchen you will hear
It’s music to your ear
In the kitchen you will play
The kitchen symphony way! Hoo-hoo!
Oh. Oh, what’s this I see?
What’s this right here
That I can see
I’m not too sure
What it could be
Can you see it?
You can see it
Let’s look closely
At what it could be
A piece of parchment
It’s paper I see
There’s also some writing
Words to read
Do you know what it could be?
I think you’re right
Yes, it’s a letter.
Wha-ho-ho! A letter.
I wonder what it says.
Oh, Paloma, would you mind reading it for me?
Paloma the Mermaid: Of course, Captain.
Let me see.
“Dear Captain,
“Come join us for a dance in your pirate pants.
“First, a dance across the sea,
“and then a dance with Dorothy.”
Captain Feathersword: Ooh-hoo-hoo-hoo-hoo!
Well, I’m not exactly what that means or who wrote the letter, but I love to dance.
Hoo-hoo, yeah!
Come on, Paloma, off we go.
(JAUNTY SEA SHANTY PLAYS)
Captain Feathersword: Whoa-ho-ho! Yeah, that dance was a lot of fun.
But I still don’t know who this letter is from.
Ahoy there, my Wiggly friends.
Do you know who wrote this letter?
Oh, Anthony, did you write the lovely letter?
Anthony: I didn’t write the letter
I was playing my guitar.
Paloma the Mermaid: Evie, did you write the lovely letter?
Evie: No, I didn’t write the letter either.
I was busy dancing ballet.
Captain Feathersword: Ooh-hoo-hoo.
Shirley Shawn the Unicorn, did you write the lovely letter?
Shirley Shawn the Unicorn: Scrumptious!
Captain Feathersword: Oh, of course not.
Paloma the Mermaid: What about Lachy?
Lachy: Oh, I didn’t write the lovely letter.
Ponso, you didn’t write the lovely letter?
Giddy-up, Ponso, you champion racehorse.
Captain Feathersword: Ooh. Well!
That only leaves Simon. Hoo-hoo!
Simon, did you write the letter?
Simon: Well, no, I didn’t write the lovely letter either, but I’ve got my thinking cape on, so let me have a little think.
(GASPS) I think I’ve got it.
There’s a tree I know that has a certain attachment to paper - the Tree of Wisdom.
I think the Tree of Wisdom will be able to help you find the answer to who wrote the lovely letter.
Paloma the Mermaid: Then let’s visit the Tree of Wisdom.
Come on, gentlemen, toodle-pops.
Gentlemen, it’s the Tree of Wisdom.
Toodle-pop-pops.
Captain Feathersword: Oh-ho! Tree of Wisdom, I have a letter here today, but I don’t know what it means.
Could you please explain?
Tree of Wisdom: I’m the Tree of Wisdom
First thing you should do
Is start to shakey-shakey
And the answer will come to you
I’m the Tree of Wisdom
Helping is what I do
No question is too big or small
I’ll go out on a limb for you!
Wiggles: He’s the Tree of Wisdom
It’s clear now we can see
We’ll shake a little faster
And do the wibbly-wobbly-knee
Tree of Wisdom: You’ve got a letter
Wiggles: Yes, Tree of Wisdom
Tree of Wisdom: A handwritten letter
Wiggles: O Tree of Wisdom
Tree of Wisdom: You’ve had a read
Wiggles: Yes, Tree of Wisdom
Tree of Wisdom: But what does it mean?
Wiggles: O Tree of Wisdom
Tree of Wisdom: What you need to do
Wiggles: Yes, Tree of Wisdom
Tree of Wisdom: Is the dippy-dippy-do
Wiggles: O Tree of Wisdom
Tree of Wisdom: With Dorothy.
Captain Feathersword: Oh, wow, thank you, Tree of Wisdom.
That’s a big help.
I still don’t know who wrote the letter, but now I know what to do.
The dippy do dinosaur dance with Dorothy.
Tsehay: There’s a dinosaur
In Wiggle Town
A groovy dinosaur
Who loves to dance around
She dances down the street
With her great big dinosaur feet
Simon: Dorothy starts to move
And do the dippy-dippy-do
And she goes
Both: Dippy-dippy-dippy
Dippy-dippy-dippy-do
Dippy-dippy-dippy
Dippy-dippy-dippy-do
Tsehay: Come on, everybody
Give it a try
Let your hips move
Then go for a slide
When Dorothy’s backbone slips
She starts to move her hips
Simon: Everybody clap your hands
And do the dippy-dippy-do
And we go
Both: Dippy-dippy-dippy
Dippy-dippy-dippy-do
Dippy-dippy-dippy,
Dippy-dippy-dippy-do
Captain Feathersword: Hoo-hoo! That dippy-do dinosaur dance was so much fun.
Paloma the Mermaid: It sure was, Captain.
What are those letters for?
Captain Feathersword: Oh, well, I’ve written a letter back to say thank you for my letter.
And I’m just going to put it here in the Wiggly Kitchen, and then, hopefully, the person who wrote the letter, he’ll pick it up, see the letter and then they’ll reply to my reply of their letter and they’ll put another letter there, and then I’ll be able to read that letter and then I’ll be able to reply to that letter.
(BABBLES FASTER AND FASTER)
Mm-hm-hm.
(LAUGHS)
All: Let’s Ready, Steady, Wiggle
Let’s Ready, Steady, Wiggle
Let’s Ready, Steady…
4, 3, 2, 1, Ready Steady Wiggle!
