Mark Harris

Mark Harris is an Australian double bassist, vocalist, and composer who performed as a musician on Choo Choo Trains, Propeller Planes & Toot Toot Chugga Chugga Big Red Car! and appeared in the album's tie-in video special. Harris is best known for his work with children's musical group Lah-Lah, where he portrays the role of Buzz The Band Leader and serves as the band's co-manager, executive producer, and co-composer. Harris co-founded the group in 2008 with his wife and bandmate Tina Harris and appeared with fellow Lah-Lah bandmate Gary Daley on the aforementioned album and video.

Outside of working with Lah-Lah, Harris also performs as a member of ARIA award winning gypsy fusion band Monsieur Camembert, experimental tango band The Tango Saloon, and chanteuse band Baby et Lulu. He has also worked with other musical artists such as James Morrison, Emma Pask, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and Julian Curwin, and has performed in various Sydney musical productions such as Crazy For You, My Fair Lady, and The Boy From Oz.

In addition to performing as a musician, Harris also works as a double and electric bass teacher for various institutions, and currently teaches at the Kambala Church of England Girls' School and the Newtown High School of the Performing Arts.
