Maton Mastersound MS500 is an electric guitar manufactured by Maton. Although all four Wiggles use this, this instrument is usually associated with Murray, until 2013 when Anthony became the new lead guitarist. The Wiggles first used it in 2000.

At least one of the four colour models has appeared in every Wiggles video since 2001's Hoop Dee Doo it's a Wiggly Party except for 2000's It's a Wiggly Wiggly World!, 2007's Pop Go The Wiggles! & 2012's Celebration!. Beginning in 2006/2007, all four coloured models were given secondary/alternate models that could light up along its body shape.

  • One of the blue MS500 guitars that is used in live shows had a Bigsby tailpiece installed by Oliver Brian sometime in 2018.
  • Since 2017, The Wiggles use a blue 12 string version which is also a Maton Mastersound MS500 called the Maton MS500/12.
  • These guitars were introduced in 1958 by Bill May (Maton founder).
  • Three versions of Murray's red MS500 exist: the original sparkle red version, the light-up version that debuted in Racing to the Rainbow and a matte red version that debuted in Hot Poppin' Popcorn.
  • A few versions of Anthony's blue MS500 exist: the original sparkle blue version, the light-up version, a light-up version with a Bigsby tailpiece, a rosewood version that debuted in Wiggle Town!, and a 12 string version that debuted in Duets.
  • During a concert from Sailing Around the World Live!, Murray played Greg's yellow MS500 from Wiggle Bay to the end of the show since he broke a string on his red MS500.
  • In Wiggly Party: Live in Concert, Ryan De Saulnier played Jeff's purple MS500 during Five Little Ducks.
  • In 2011, they were given a custom Wiggle Rainbow coloured MS500 guitar like the Maton MS2000. Unlike that guitar, however, it was never used in concerts, or videos with the exception of the We're All Fruit Salad! music video towards the ending and The Wiggles' 25th Anniversary Reunion Show in Melbourne. It was on display in the Powerhouse Museum and has been autographed by each of the group's members, but was taken out when the exhibit closed in 2021.
  • They are played by some of the biggest names in the business including George Harrison, the guitar has been prized by many for its revolutionary design and extreme playability.
