1999-2002

2002 - 2010
Playhouse Disney is Disney Channel's former morning-to-noon block that focused on preschool programming, which in many countries included The Wiggles. It was replaced by Disney Junior on February 14, 2011.
The Wiggles arguably became best known in America because of their presence on Playhouse Disney, with all six of their original TV series airing during that time. With it premiering on the block on June 17, 2002.
The group ended their long-time relationship with Playhouse Disney supposedly due to being surpassed in ratings by "Imagination Movers", a newer preschool show also featuring a musical foursome (from New Orleans, USA) and because Disney's television division was now more focused on their in-house programming aimed at pre-teen/teenage audiences such as "Hannah Montana" and "High School Musical" and less interested in outside content, as Murray said in an interview with CNN in 2010. It was said that The Wiggles would leave Playhouse Disney in mid-June 2009, but it actually left after May 24, 2009 when Playhouse Disney started their summer schedule and its 6am weekend airing slot was replaced by Little Einsteins. They then moved to PBS Kids Sprout that August.
In Australia, The Wiggles aired on the block a few years longer, beginning sometime in 1999 (after the success of 1998 special The Wiggles in Disneyland) and stretched until some time after the block's change into Disney Junior (which occurred in that country on May 29, 2011).
The Taiwanese Wiggles' TV series also aired on Playhouse Disney in Taiwan, as did The Latin American Wiggles throughout Latin America. Dubs of The Wiggles aired in Japanese, Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries as well.
