Sir Lesley Longley's Wiggly Archives (also known as Unreleased NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN Specials) is the unofficial name for a series of YouTube videos which present older Wiggles content on the channel for the first time, including unused, unreleased and rare material.
A video was uploaded on November 9, 2020 to The Wiggles' YouTube channel promoting the series. It promises material from all main generations of The Wiggles. The series is introduced by a character portrayed by Anthony Field, named Sir Lesley Longley.
Background[]
At the end of October 2020, Anthony Field began sharing clips of various unseen filmed Wiggles concerts on Instagram and Twitter. On November 6, he posted an Instagram video (in character as Sir Lesley Longley) formally announcing that unreleased Wiggles videos would be coming to The Wiggles' YouTube channel, encouraging people to subscribe. An alternate version of this video is what would be uploaded to the channel on November 9.
On December 4, 2020, the first unreleased special to be uploaded to the channel was a Sailing Around the World Live! concert filmed in San Diego, CA, USA. On January 29, 2021, another USA concert was revealed to be the next upload, one from Racing to the Rainbow Live! in Everett/Seattle, WA. Other concerts which Anthony has teased on Instagram may follow.
On August 3, 2021, Anthony revealed in a reply to a Twitter user that Sir Lesley Longley recorded three intros for three upcoming specials. The exact unreleased content the intros were recorded for weren't revealed.
On October 20, 2021, after a 9-month hiatus, bloopers from Ready, Steady, Wiggle! (Series 2) became the third special to be uploaded. This was the first video presented by Sir Lesley Longley to have been released before in some capacity, as a bonus feature on the Anthony's Fruity Feast! DVD (which was only released in Australia) in 2015.
On January 31, 2022, bloopers from TV Series 5 became special number four to be uploaded and the second to have been previously released in some form, being a special feature in the Racing to the Rainbow DVD in 2006.
Four days later on February 3, 2022, the group revealed in the comment section of a video by YouTube user Wiggles Enthusiasts that Sir Lesley Longley is "currently on the tail of a Wiggles bone-a-fide hit...".[1]
On August 19, 2022, a compilation of Songs from the Wiggles 1997 Big Show taken from the Let's Wiggle series was the fifth to be uploaded on the channel. Despite no mentioning of Sir Lesley Longley in the description nor in the video.

Trivia[]
- All of the clips featured from the pre-launch promo are from videos already uploaded to the YouTube channel (some of them set to private), including:
- Wake Up Jeff! Parts 1 and 4
- The Anthony's Wiggly Travels Episode "Anthony's Backstage Antics"
- Big Aussie Road Trip
- Go Santa Go from Wiggly, Wiggly Christmas! (2017)
- The Trailers for Ukulele Baby! and Taking Off!
- Wiggle Time! (1993)
- Near the end of the YouTube version of the video, Sir Lesley Longley is holding a Digital Betacam tape containing an episode of The Wiggles Show!.
- A DVD of Baby Antonio's Circus that appears to be a studio master with 4 to 5 episodes can be spotted on a computer desk in the same Instagram story which teased Dorothy the Dinosaur Goes to Hospital. This is most likely not intended for inclusion as rarities on YouTube and may have been there due to preparations for The Wiggles Channel which aired Baby Antonio's Circus when it launched.
- On July 22, 2021, Anthony replied to an Instagram post requesting Sir Lesley Longley to find the 16:9 versions of Wiggle Bay, Whoo Hoo! Wiggly Gremlins! and Top of the Tots, stating "I'll have the good Sir Leslie look into this when I find him!!!"[7] This would be to replace The Wiggles' currently used masters for all purposes moving forward (the masters that The Wiggles currently use for Wiggle Bay and Whoo Hoo! Wiggly Gremlins! are in 14:9 (“halfway widescreen”) while Top of the Tots only exists a complete video in 4:3 full screen), however it is unlikely they would be considered for full uploads with introduction by Sir Lesley Longley as they are standard videos, albeit ones that have been unavailable in this aspect ratio.
Goofs[]
- Sir Lesley Longley seems to be introducing bloopers from TV Series 2 in the video featuring bloopers from TV Series 5. It's possible that Anthony was mistaken about what bloopers were being featured when filming the intro; or Series 2 bloopers may have been intended to be uploaded but there was a change at the editing stage most likely due to the Series 2 bloopers featuring bloopers for the prologue to Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport.
