The New Dorothy The Dinosaur Show is a Wiggles spin-off tour that ran from 2008 to 2009. This is the 5th spinoff tour to be focused around Dorothy the Dinosaur, and features several characters and songs from the first series of her television show.

Announcing the new Dorothy the Dinosaur Show! The smash hit television show seen in over 21 countries around the world has now been brought to the theatre stage! Children worldwide have been engaged, enchanted and entertained by Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus, Captain Feathersword, Fairy Clare and Fairy Larissa’s adventures and songs. The show stars Dorothy the Dinosaur, a graduate capital of R.A.D.D (The Royal Academy of Dinosaur Dancing!) The new Dorothy the Dinosaur show has been written by Blue Wiggle, Anthony Field, who also produced the music. ‘My three children adore Dorothy the Dinosaur, so I wanted to put together a concert that reflected the high quality of the TV show that they love’, said Anthony Field. Children will enjoy meeting old friends and making new ones as they sing, dance, watch, listen and learn. Anthony has recorded the Rosy Orchestra performing songs for Dorothy and her friends to sing along with, such as the delightful Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star! Children will love dancing to Dr Knickerbocker and bouncing up and down to Come On Let’s Jump! Captain Feathersword will be joined by Don the Postman, who sings his signature song. You’ll shake your hips with Wags the Dog and dance a fairy jig with The Fairy Dance. Along with such hit songs as Romp Bomp A Stomp, To Have A Tea Party and Balla, Balla Bambina, audiences will be ecstatic as the show culminates with Let’s Have A Party! If you think you’ve seen Dorothy the Dinosaur, then think again! To quote the star of the show, ‘The dancing is delightful and the music is really rosalicious. I know children around Wellington will have so much fun when they come to my brand new show!’

• This was the last known appearance of John Martin as Captain Feathersword.
• This was the first Dorothy spinoff tour to feature former Taiwanese Wiggle James Arthur Chen as a performer, playing the role of Don the Postman.
  • Chen also shared the role with former Latin American Wiggle Fernando Jorge Moguel.
