The Wiggles: Pandamonium! is a shelved film which was to be The Wiggles' second feature film, following the 1997 film The Wiggles Movie, which was announced in 2014. The film was originally intended to be released in 2016, but it is most likely cancelled due to the departure of Emma Watkins in addition to The Wiggles being preoccupied with other projects.

Director Ben Elton later reflected on the project years after the film's cancellation in an interview article for The Guardian in December 2024, with the reason being that they could not get fundings from Screen Australia to produce the film.[1]

Plot[]

The Wiggles (Anthony, Emma, Lachy and Simon) must save and return a baby Panda to his family.

Production went on hiatus as The Wiggles and Ben Elton were trying to find the right partners to screen it worldwide (and likely due to Emma Watkins' departure). It was to be directed by Ben Elton and produced by Paul Field, Michael Wrenn, and Gary Hamilton.

"The next filming will be in July" as Anthony Field said on his Instagram page, "A day of filming with director Ben Elton, Paul and Jeff on hand! Looking forward to next Pandamonium filming in July."

Trivia[]

  • The title is a play on words, changing the spelling of "pandemonium" to match that of a Panda bear, the main plot point of the movie.
  • While it was supposedly The Wiggles' second feature film after The Wiggles Movie, it would have been the third to be released in cinemas, after The Wiggles Big, Big Show!.
  • It was not a direct sequel to The Wiggles Movie, as it had nothing to do with the plot, other than The Wiggles being the main characters. It could also be referred to as a stand-alone sequel.
