The Wiggles Go Bananas! is the thirty-first Wiggles video special. It was released on March 19, 2009. It is also their second video special about animals after Wiggly Safari.

Overview

In their latest adventure, The Wiggles Go Bananas!, the fab four of fun have recorded some of their most catchy infectious songs to date. Even pop superstar, Kylie Minogue, has donned a pink skivvy and joined The Wiggles to sing 'Monkey Man'. We jump into the heart of the groovy animal kingdom with songs such as 'The Lion Is King', 'Kangaroo Jumping', 'Tassie Devil' and 'The Chicken Walk'. Australia's John Waters sings 'Rusty The Cowboy', while Captain Feathersword sings 'The Dingle Puck Goat'. So jump into the jivin' jungle with the kings of pre-school swing as The Wiggles Go Bananas!

Trivia

• This video is commonly referred to as simply "Go Bananas!".
• This is the last Wiggles video to have the 2002-2009 ABC DVD logo in the opening. This is also the very last ABC DVD in general to contain the 2001-2009 ABC DVD logo as well as it being the only ABC DVD release from 2009 to contain that said logo.
• This video was most likely filmed in mid-late 2008, as pictures and promotional material from the video appear in the You Make Me Feel Like Dancing Tour! Programme, teasing its release.
• Henry the Octopus does not appear in this video. However, he did appear in the bonus episodes on the Special Features menu of the DVD.
  • This is the only Wiggles DVD to have bonus episodes of Wiggle and Learn (not counting You Make Me Feel Like Dancing's Blu-ray release).
• The Spanish dub of this video is titled "Haciendo monerías".
• The Spanish dub was also released on DVD in Argentina about 5 months after Greg came back.
• This is the only Wiggles video that shows Jeff playing the blue Maton acoustic guitar.
• The scenes that take place in the zoo were filmed at Dreamworld. 
• This is the last main Wiggles video to feature Carolyn Ferrie as the primary voice of Dorothy the Dinosaur. She would voice Dorothy one last time in Dorothy the Dinosaur Meets Santa Claus, but that video didn't feature The Wiggles.
• It also marked the final time that Kristy Talbot played Wags the Dog. 
• This was Sam's favourite video from his era.
• Footage of Kylie Minogue was later used in Duets for the new version of "Monkey Man".
• This is the only Wiggles trailer to be narrated by Dorothy the Dinosaur.

Goofs

• John Field and Paul Paddick's names are listed in the song credits of "Wags The Dog Is Chasing His Tail".
• "Once I Saw A Little Bird" was credited as a traditional arrangement.
• The Hong Kong DVD says "2003" on the disc rather than "2009".
• When this was on Netflix from 2009 through 2011, the tempo was slowed down to 24fps and the pitch was lowered.
