Ooh, wha-hoo, oh, it's wasn't on. Ahoy there, me hearties, and welcome to "Top of the Tots"! On today's "Top of the Tots", we have "The Wiggles"! Here's Greg Wiggle, the yellow shirt wearer; hoo-hoo! and, of course, Murray, the guitar-playing wonder in the red; and then there's Jeff, always falling asleep in his purple shirt, hoo-hoo! WAKE UP, JEFF! And that ever-loving, apple-eating Anthony in the blue. Hoo-hoo! And, of course, The Wiggles friends are here: there's Dorothy the Dinosaur, hoo-hoo! Wags the Dog, and that eight-legged wonder, Henry the Octopus. And, of course, "Top of the Tots" isn't "Top of the Tots" without The Wiggly Dancers: there's Larissa, and Ryan and Tamara and Franco and, of course, the wonderful Lucy. Hoo-hoo! (Shot transition to Jeff talking about a firefighter named Frank Leandro.)

Jeff: It's time to cross back to New York City.

Frank Leandro: Hi, everyone, my name is Frank. I'm a New York City firefighter with Brooklyn's engine company 227. And I love my job, but to do my job, I need to wear special clothes to protect myself. To start, I have boots that are steel-tipped and water protected. The pants are fire protected with knee pads to protect my knees. My jacket is also fire protected with reflectors, so all the firefighters can see us when we're operating. I have a light, so when we're in dark rooms, we can try and see where we're going. What I have here, is a face piece. We carry our own air to a fire so we can breathe when it's smoky. Also, we have hoods that are going to protect our ears and neck from heat and fire. And last, we have our helmet to protect our heads, and that's the uniform of a New York City firefighter.

Jeff: Very interesting. Tell us more.

Frank Leandro: To get to a fire, we have a fire engine. Takes all the firefighters, and it has everything we need to fight a fire.... water, hoses, ladders. It has lights and sirens, so people know we're coming, and they can get out of our way so we can get to the fire.

(It transitions to the fire engine sirens wailing sounds then it gets to the song: New York Firefighter. A scene where Frank Leandro is getting ready to put the fire out with the hose while he's in the firehouse.)

Captain Feathersword: (He is using a high voice to hold his flower.) Ahoy there, me hearties, I'm Captain Flowersword! (He's holding his flowersword to tickle Greg.)

Greg: Captain Flowersword, you certainly are a beautiful flower.

Captain Feathersword: Oh, gee, ha, ha, ha! (He's holding his flowersword to tickle Greg.)

Greg: But you know what, Captain Flowersword? I know a pirate who looks just like you, but he has a feathersword.

Greg: Yeah, I can see that. I've got a feeling Captain Flowersword is trying to trick me here.

Murray: Sometimes when you're sick, you might need to visit the doctor. But you know something funny? Sometimes you need to visit the doctor, even when you're not sick. To tell us more, here's Dr. Pam, via satellite.

Dr. Pam: Hi, Wiggles! Hi, everybody! I'm Dr. Pam. Sometimes when you come to the doctor, you might be feeling really sick; other times, you just come for a checkup.

Murray: Oh, I see. Well, what sort of things might a doctor use to find out what's wrong with someone?

Dr. Pam: When you come to the doctor, there are things we use to find out how you are. One of these is a thermometer. And we put this thermometer in your ear to tell your temperature.

Murray: Wow! A thermometer! Tell us more.

Dr. Pam: This is a stethoscope. We put it in our ears and we listen to your chest to hear your heart and to hear your breathing. Sometimes when we put it on your chest, it feels a little bit cold.

Murray: Ooh, cold! It might tickle, too. Anything else, doctor?

Dr. Pam: This is a tongue depressor. We put it on your tongue and ask you to say "aah", so we can have a little look at your throat.

Murray: Thank you, Dr. Pam.

Anthony: Come on everybody, let's go to the doctors for a check-up.

Anthony: Ha, ha! Fruit and veggies? I love them all, Gabriel. I love apples, oranges, bananas, onions, zucchini, potatoes, but my favorite, I think I said it before, my favorite is apples, fruity-tooty. I love apples, they're my favorite.

Henry: Breebop! Hi, everybody! I'm Henry the Octopus and I love swimming. Ooh, I always try and stay safe when I swim, so I swim with a friend, and you should, too.Here's Kieren Perkins, Australia's Olympic swimming gold medalist, to tell you all about swimming. Ha-ha!

(It transitions to Anthony talking to the Perkins family about what they do about swimming.)

Anthony: Everybody, when it's hot outside, it's a great time to go swimming. And lots of people go swimming in their backyard pool, or, you know, down the road there's a big council pool or there's a dam in the country; you might have a dam or a creek to swim in. But when you're swimming, there are a few things to think about, you know, for safety, it's lots of fun swimming, don't get me wrong, but there are some safety things you must think about, everybody. Yes, you must think about them. Well, to help us think about those things, and also the great fun things about swimming, we have the greatest swimming family in the world, the Perkins family. Here they are. This is Kieren, Samantha, Harry and Georgia. G'day, guys.

Samantha: How are you?

Kieren: Anthony, how are you?

Anthony: Good, good. Now we're talking about swimming. Now, Samantha, what are some of the fun things with swimming? What do you like about swimming, and the whole family going swimming?

Samantha: Well, I think it's something that's really fun for the whole family to do. But there's a couple of serious things, too, Anthony, and that is that no matter how old your children are, as parents, we should get them to learn to swim. Now, the good time is probably the summer of their first birthday, and just get them in there, take them down to the local pool. There should be learn-to-swim lessons. The other thing, too, is apart from just learning how to swim, it's important to dress right for swimming, because in Australia, the sun's really hot. That's right, you've got your togs or bathers on, depending on which state you come from, Queensland or Now South Wales; um, a hat, what else do we have on when we go swimming?

Georgia: Board shorts.

Samantha: Board shorts. And what do we need?

Georgia: Sun scream.

Samantha: That's right, sun cream. We always put sun cream on our faces, don't we?

Anthony: Now, when you go swimming, should you swim alone, or should you go with a friend, or make sure that a grownup's there, like maybe mom or dad?

Samantha: A lot of parents sometimes think although the kids can swim now, so they'll be all right in the pool by themselves, but it's really never a good idea to leave the kids alone. We always watch the kids, even if they're just in a blow-up pool in the front yard. Funny enough, we've never actually owned a pool at our house, so we used to buy the little blow-up pool. And we'd always watch the kids, even if the water was only a couple of feet deep, because kids can drown in any amount of water. So it's great to have fun, but you've always got to be on the lookout, because if you teach them how to swim, it could be a lifesaver one day.

Anthony: Now, Kieren, after all that hard work and training, you've been in the Olympics and have done lots of brilliant things. Can you tell everybody about them?

Kieren: Well, in my career, I went to three Olympics games and I won two gold medals and two silver medals and, actually, won medals in three Olympics in the 1500 meters freestyle in a row. I broke 11 world records, two world championships, a few commonwealth games gold medals in there, as well, ans Pan Pacific titles, also.

Anthony: Everybody, isn't that Wiggly amazing? Hey, let's go swimming!

Greg: Hey, Murray, Anthony, we're here! Have a look at this! We're here at the Great Wall of China.

Jeff: Yeah!

Murray & Anthony: Wow! The Great Wall of China!

Greg: Have a look! This wall is 10,000 kilometers long.

Jeff: That is long!

Greg: That's very long. And take a look at all the bricks here.

Jeff: There must be millions of bricks here!

Greg: There'd have to be. Imagine how many bricklayers it would have taken to build this wall. (with Jeff) Wow!

Greg: Everybody, all this singing's making me really thirsty; and when I'm thirsty, I love to drink milk. But you know what? All the shops around here are closed right now, so I don't know where I can get some milk from? Have you got any ideas? Where can I find some milk? Aha! Of course! Cows give you milk, but where can I find a cow? Oh, on a farm, of course. Great idea.

Michael Perkin: On our dairy farm, we milk up to 2,000 cows. They go into the dairy shed, we attach the cups onto the cows and the milk flows out. Before cups, we used to milk cows by hand. But it took a long, long time.

Murray: We're here with some bread, and, you know, I really like bread. Do you guys like bread?

Kids: Yeah.

Murray: Yeah, it's really nice. I like the toast in it, especially in the morning. Maybe with some butter and some jam. What else could you make out of bread?

Seamus: Um, flour?

Murray: Oh, yes, you use flour to make bread. That's right, guys, yeah. And what else could you eat, though? Could you have... I like toast.

Atoc: Cheese?

Murray: You can put cheese on it?

Seamus: Yes, I think also you could put jam in it.

Murray: Oh, yum, jam's lovely, yeah.

Atoc: And butter.

Murray: And butter, too, that's right. You might like some sandwiches.

Seamus: I already said that.

Murray: You did?

Seamus: Well, in the morning when we see something, when something makes a web, it's called a spider.

Murray: That's right, a spider makes a web and you might watch that while you're eating your bread.

Seamus: Yes, and also, ducks eat bread as well.

Murray: Ducks do eat bread, that's right. They really like bread.

Seamus: And, also, when I went with my grandpa, I was going... Um, I was going fishing.

Murray: Fishing with your grandpa?

Seamus: Yes, and when I got my rod, I caught some of the fish's skin.

Murray: Fish's skin, with your rod?

Seamus: Yeah.

Murray: Really, that's great.

Seamus: And grandpa, he put his hand and he grabbed that and then he threw it and it went that far! And I start, um, to bring it in and there was on the hook, there was a fish. And that had a big, um, handle, and it used to had to be sharp and it catches the fish and when you put the hook in it you put it in the fish's mouth.

Murray: Oh, dear! And that's how you catch a fish?

Seamus: Yeah.

Murray: Do we have a fishing song, guys? (They were all laughing at the crew since we don't have a fishing song.) That is! That was so interesting, Seamus, thank you.
