For her character in The Wiggles, see Tsehay Wiggle.
Tsehay Angelina[1] Hawkins (born 15 November 2005) is the current Yellow Wiggle.
History with the Wiggles[]
Tsehay grew up watching and dancing along with the Wiggles. She first joined the Wiggles in early 2020 (Fun and Games DVD production) and has become a Wiggly Dancer ever since. In 2021, the Wiggles asked her to come on tour with them for the We're All Fruit Salad Tour where she had a fantastic time performing live. It was during this tour that Tsehay was offered the role of the second Red Wiggle for "Fruit Salad TV". Shortly afterwards, Tsehay was selected to take over from Emma as the new Yellow Wiggle. Because of this, Caterina replaced Tsehay as the second red wiggle.
Personal Life[]
Tsehay was born in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and when she was 8 months old, she was adopted by her Australian parents. Tsehay has always loved music and began Ethiopian & Commercial dancing when she was 2 years old. She then extended into West African dance before discovering Cumbia & Salsa after spending 7 weeks in Colombia while her family adopted her brother Kendly. She also learned the Brazilian Samba and other Latin dances while training with various cultural groups throughout Sydney. Dance is Tsehay’s passion and she currently attends a full-time commercial dance school in Sydney where she recently completed Year 10. She also trains in Salsa and other Latin dances when her schedule permits. Tsehay represented Australia at the World Latin Dance Championships in 2017 and 2021. Tsehay has won 11 x Australian Titles in Latin & Commercial Dance and 5 x World Titles in Latin Dance and is the current Australian and World Youth Ladies Salsa and Urban Latin Champion as well as the current World Amateur Ladies Salsa and Urban Latin Champion. Tsehay also won Salsa titles at the 2021 Calgary International Salsa Congress and the 2020 Worldwide Salsa Solo Championship. Tsehay was featured on Channel 7’s Little Big Shots in 2018 and has been a dancer in numerous music videos for artists such as Timomatic, Keiynan Lonsdale, and L-Fresh the Lion. Tsehay was also a feature dancer at the 2019 NSW Schools Spectacular performing West African dance.
