Food is the sixth episode of the first season of The Wiggles and Friends series.
Synopsis[]
Join The Wiggles and their friend Paul the Cook as they make some yummy food. From Hot Potatoes to Crunchy Munchy Cakes to Fruit Salad, it's sure to be an appetising episode!

(The episode starts with The Wiggles logo above these 4 characters in the show. Until, Greg is singing the Song: Here Come The Wiggles plays in the background, it shows their names appear in the opening sequence.)

Captain Feathersword: Ahoy there.
Greg: (singing) We'd like you to clap and sing and dance along too
Now that everybody's here,

(The title "The Wiggles and Friends" appears. We cut to a recreation of Yummy Yummy's intro with The Wiggles and Paul the Cook gathered around a bench with potatoes, spagetti and bananas)
Greg: Hello, everybody. We're the Wiggles. I'm Greg.
Murray: I'm Murray.
Anthony: I'm Anthony.
Jeff: And I'm Jeff, and this is our friend, Paul the Cook.
Paul: (waves to the camera) Hello, everybody.
Murray: What have you got here, Paul?
Paul: Well, I've got some cold spaghetti.
Anthony: Ooh, cold spaghetti, a Wiggly spaghetti.
Paul: And I've got some mashed banana.
Greg: Oh yes, there's some bananas here to be mashed up, all ooey-gooey squishy-squashy.
Paul: And I've got some hot potatoes. (Paul gives the Wiggles some hot potatoes, which they then throw in the air because they’re too hot)
Murray: Ooh, they're hot!
Jeff: Ouch!
Anthony: Yow!
Greg: Ow! You're right! they're very hot. We'll put that back there (He put his potato down.) Well, let's sing a song all about hot potatoes, cold spaghetti and mashed banana. Keep an eye out for Captain Feathersword, the friendly pirate. He loves eating everybody else's food. (They wiggle their fingers)
(A banana transitions into the song: Hot Potato.)

(A fruit bowl transitions us to Wigglehouse, we see Anthony watching an episode of Foodman)
Foodman: Yes, Police Commissioner, the city is back to normal. And please, there's no need to thank me. I'm just doing my superhero job. Farewell, citizens. I must be on my way, there are more good deeds to be done.
Anthony: Wahoo. A superhero. Do you think I could be a superhero like Foodman? Imagine that...
(Anthony's voice echos as he imagines himself as Foodman. We see Murray and Jeff having trouble trying to start their barbecue.)
Jeff: (trying to light the barbecue) Oh no, this lighter isn't working!
Murray: How will we ever cook these yummy sausages now?
Foodman: Maybe I can be of some assistance?
(We cut to Anthony as Foodman in a heroic pose with a short fanfare playing behind him)
Jeff and Murray: Foodman!!
Foodman: Stand back and let Foodman save the day!
(Foodman pulls out a red bell pepper and eats it. He pounds his chest softly before breathing a flame onto the barbecue, lighting it instantly. The sizzling sounds of the sausages is heard)
Murray: Wow, thanks Foodman. Now we can make some tasty sausage sandwiches!
Foodman: No problem, all in a days work for Foodman.
(Foodman hears someone calling out for help and flies to help them. Jeff and Murray watch him fly away and wave goodbye to him. We see Wags and Captain Feathersword trying to get a bone out of a tall tree)
Foodman: Never fear, Foodman is here!
Captain Feathersword: Oh thank goodness you're here.
Foodman: What seems to be the problem, pirate citizen?
Captain Feathersword: Well I was playing fetch with Wags bone, but I threw it to hard and now it's stuck in this tree!
Wags: Ruff, ruff, ruff
Foodman: Don't worry my Canine friend, I'll retrive your delicious bone.
(Foodman looks up at the tail tree and prepares to jump up and grab the bone. Streching his knees, he takes one big leap and retrives the bone. Wags yaps happily as Foodman hands him the bone)
Captain Feathersword: Oh thank you Foodman. (to Wags) Maybe next time, I'll use the ball.
Foodman: No problem, all in a days work.
Captain Feathersword: Hey everyone, let's give a wiggly cheer for Foodman!
(The Wiggles and co enter and begin to cheer and chant for Foodman)
All: Foodman! Foodman! Foodman!
(As the chant fades, we cut back to Wigglehouse to find Anthony sleepily chanting "Foodman", while the three Wiggles are waking him up)
Anthony: (sleepily) Foodman! Foodman! Foodman!
Jeff: Anthony, Anthony, wake up!
Murray: We've been calling out for you!
(Anthony wakes up)
Anthony: Oh sorry guys, I was just having a dream where I was a superhero! What were you calling out to me for?
Greg: That your dinner is getting cold.
Anthony: Oh no! I completely forgot about dinner.
(Anthony jumps up and rushes towards the kitchen to reheat his food. The other Wiggles are puzzled)
Murray: Superhero? That's the last thing I'd think Anthony would dream about.
Jeff: Maybe he was dreaming about a food superhero.
(Greg and Murray shrug)
Greg: Come on Wiggles, let's go finish up our dinner.
(All three walk back to the kitchen as we transiton to the intro of Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes. We see The Wiggles, Paul the Cook and Captain Feathersword standing around a bench with various cooking utensils, bowls and ingredients)
Jeff: We're making Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes. We have our friend, Paul the Cook and Captain Feathersword here to help us
Captain Feathersword: I love Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes.
Greg: Yes Captain, but uh, we're making some more Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes so you can have some later.
Captain Feathersword: Oh. OK, Greg.
Murray: We've got some milk, some flour, some muesli flakes, and some honey. They're the ingredients. We've also got some spoons, a rolling pin, and some baking trays.
Greg: A little bit later we'll need to use the oven, always make sure you have an adult there when you cook, especially when you use the oven.
(Song: Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes.)

(Captain Feathersword steals the Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes as The Wiggles and Paul the Cool give chase. A Crunchy Honey Cake transitions into the song: Food Food Food (Oh How I Love My Food). We see all the Wiggles, Paul the Cook and their friends eating various different foods as the song begins)
Greg: (singing) Banana, potato, some fruit from the fridge

(As the song fades we cut to Dorothy's Garden, where Dorothy is dancing and singing "Dinosaur in the Ring" while Henry and Wags are playing intruments)

(Henry and Wags clap as Greg and Anthony enter)
Greg: Hi Dorothy, that was some great singing and dancing you just did!
Dorothy: Thank you Greg. We were just playing a traditional game from The Carribean.
Anthony: That sounds like fun! How do you play it?
Dorothy: Well you form a ring around someone while they're dancing and you can sing any words you like!
Greg: Well we know a song called "Brown Girl in the Ring" and I think it would be perfect for this game. Let's all sing and dance along to Brown Girl in the Ring".
(A glither transitions into the song: the Song: Brown Girl In The Ring a scene where Jeff is playing a keyboard at the beginning then The Wiggles are playing instruments while The Wiggly Friends are dancing around the Dorothy in a circle)

(Anthony enters, wheeling a fruit cart and dressed as a fruit seller )
Anthony: Hi Greg.
Greg: Hi Anthony. What are dressed as?
Anthony: I'm dressed as a fruit seller.
(Anthony leaves as Murray enters, holding a bag of flour and dressed as a baker)
Greg: Hi Murray. What are you dressed as?
Murray: Greg, I'm dressed as a baker. (carrying the bag of flour) Ooo, this bag of flour is heavy
(Murray leaves as Jeff enters, carrying two steel buckets and dressed as a farmer)
Jeff: Hi Greg.
Greg: Hi Jeff. What are you dressed as?
Jeff: I'm dressed as a dairy farmer. I've got my hat, my overalls, my boots and two buckets for milking the cows!
Greg: That's great Jeff, why don't you tell us about cows!
Jeff: Good idea!
(They both wiggle their fingers as a milk bottle transitions to the poem: Cows. The scene shows Jeff dressed as a farmer, ringing a cowbell before reciting the poem about the different types of cows)
Jeff: Cows can be big,
Cows can be brown,
They can be black and white as well.
Some of them have horns on their head,
And some just wear a bell.
(Jeff rings the cowbell again and then sings about cows for the song: I'm a Cow)

(As the song begins to fade, we see The Wiggles and Paul the Cook preparing some fruit salad)
Anthony: We're making some fruit salad. Everybody's helping. Murray, what are you up to?
Murray: Anthony, I've got some grapes to put in the fruit salad bowl.
Anthony: And Paul the Cook?
Paul the Cook: Well, I'm mixing up all the fruit in this bowl.
Anthony: Greg?
Greg: (He holds up a melon) Anthony, I'm chopping up some melon!
Anthony: And Jeff, what are you doing over there?
Jeff: (He peels a banana) I've peeled a banana!
Wiggles: (to viewers while giving a thumbs up.) Beauty mate!
Anthony: Well, you might like to make your own fruit salad at home. Just make sure you use a plastic knife and you might like to have a grown-up around to help you, as well.
(Song: Fruit Salad.)
Wiggles: (singing) Fruit Salad, yummy yummy!

Greg: (singing) Take all the fruit that you want to eat.
It's gonna be a fruit salad treat!

Greg: (singing) toss in some grapes.
Wiggles: (singing) The third step,
Greg: (singing) chop up some apples.
Chop up some melons, and put them on your plate.
Now we've made it, it's time to eat it.

Greg: (singing) It tastes so good that you just can't beat it.

Greg: (singing) Give everyone a plate and a spoon.
We'll all be eating it very soon!

Captain Feathersword: (He appears behind Greg) Oh well, I don't know where the Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes are, me hearties.
(Jeff notices the audiences is trying to tell him something)
Jeff: What's that? There on the Captain's hat? Let's have a look
(Jeff looks over and sees the Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes on his hat)
Jeff: Hey, you're right! They are on his hat! Captain Feathersword put them on his hat!
Captain Feathersword: There on my hat? Oh, I'll have a look. (He takes his hat off) Oh! They're are too! Oh, me hearties! I was only tricking! You can have the Crunchy Munchy Honey Cakes. (He is giving Crunch Munchy Honey Cakes to everybody)
Jeff: Well everyone, until next time. Goodbye from The Wiggles.
All: Buh-bye!!
(Everyone is eating their Crunch Munchy Honey Cakes as the screen sparkles to the credits. The end credits roll over scenes from the episode as the Hot Potato instrumental track plays in the background)
