Jeff's Disappearing Dinner is the first animated short that was part of The Wiggles and Friends animated series.
Synopsis[]
A hungry Jeff decides to make himself some Hot Potatoes for dinner. But everytime he come back to his food, it magically disappears. Can Jeff slove the mystery of his missing food?

- This animated short is based on a simliar silent skit in Series 2 of The Wiggles TV Show.
- It would later be a comic story that appeared in the first issue of The Wiggles Magazine in May 2000
Transcript[]
(An animated Wiggle pushes out the title: Jeff's Disappearing Dinner, a glitter transitions to the inside of Wigglehouse)
(Jeff is fast asleep on his Purple Armchair, snoring. Suddenly, the Alarm Clock Chair wakes him up)
Jeff: Yawn! (gets up from the chair.) That was a good nap.
(Jeff's stomach begins to gurgle as his puts his hand on his stomach and feels it)
Jeff: That sleep sure made me hungry. I'd better make myself something for dinner.
(Jeff walks into the kitchen and grabs a chef's hat. He thinks for a few seconds on what to make when he gets an idea)
Jeff: I know, how about a nice Hot Potato and a glass of orange juice? That sounds like a yummy idea!
(He begins to prepare the potato, humming the song Hot Potato as he cooks it.)
Jeff: (Under his breath while cooking) Hot Potato, hot potato
Hot potato, hot potato
Hot potato, hot potato
Potato
Potato, potato, potato
(As he waits for the potato to cook, Jeff gets a glass out and pours some orange juice for himself. He also grabs a plate, fork and knife and sets it down on the table. The oven dings)
Jeff: That must be ready!
(Jeff puts on some oven gloves and collects the potato out. He places it on his plate, licking his licks. As he's a about to eat his potato, a voice talks out to him)
Voice: Did you wash you're hands Jeff?
(Jeff looks at his hands and shakes his head)
Jeff: How silly, I forgot to wash my hands.
(Jeff gets up and goes to wash his hands. As he is cleaning his hands, Murray enters the kitchen, looking for some food)
Murray: I'm sooo hungry, I wonder if there's any food lying around.
(Murray looks around the kitchen and spots the potato)
Murray: Oh wow, a yummy Hot Potato!!
(Murray grabs the potato, then throws it in the air because it's too hot)
Murray: Oh, ow, yow, that's hot!!
(Murray puts the potato down and grabs a plate)
Murray: (Shaking his hand) That's better.
(Murray walks out whistling to himself as Jeff re-enters the kitchen. He's about to eat the potato when he realises his food is missing. He is shocked)
Jeff: Huh? That's strange, the potato was here before and now it's gone. Hmmm. Guess I better make another one.
(Jeff grabs another potato and cooks it. While it cooks, he goes for a quick walk. Greg then enters and notices the glass of juice)
Greg: Wa-hoo! Just what I need. A nice cold glass of juice all for me!
(Greg grabs the glass and drinks it all. He puts the glass back down on the table and walks off. Jeff returns to get his potato out when he sees his juice is gone)
Jeff: That's strange, now my juice is all gone. I better go and get a refill.
(Jeff goes to get the bottle of juice from the fridge, putting his potato on the plate. Anthony enters the kitchen, notice the potato)
Anthony: Hey look, a hot potato just for me!
(Anthony grabs the plate and takes a bite of the potato)
Anthony: Mmm, yummy. I love hot potatos!
(He continues to eat the potato as he walks out of the kitchen. Jeff enters with a bottle of orange juice and sees that his plate and potato is missing. He is stunned and confused)
Jeff: I just don't understand. Everytime I leave, my food disappears when I get back.
(He sits down in his chair sadly)
Jeff: (Signs) It's a mystery. Now I'll never get to have my yummy dinner.
(As Jeff sits in his chair, the other three Wiggles return to the kitchen. They find Jeff sadly seated at his chair)
Murray: Oh no, what's wrong Jeff? You seem really down.
Jeff: Well Murray, every time I prepare myself some dinner, it keeps disappearing! It's like some sort of magic.
(The three Wiggles look at each other)
Wiggles: Magic?
(They then look back at Jeff and break out into laughter. Jeff looks at them confused)
Anthony: We're sorry Jeff! We think we may have taken your dinner. We were really hungry!
Greg: Tell you what Jeff, how about we make some dinner for you to make up for us eatting your dinner?
(Jeff smiles and nods)
Jeff: That sounds great, Thanks Wiggles!
Wiggles: Beauty mate!
(A short montage of Greg, Murray and Anthony cooking Jeff's dinner with a shorten instrumental the song Hot Potato playing in the background. As the montage ends the Wiggles hand Jeff his plate of Hot Potatoes and a fresh glass of juice)
Murray: Here you go Jeff, one plate of Hot Potatoes
Greg: And one glass of juice, specially made for you.
Anthony: We hope you like it.
(Jeff takes a bite into his potato and smiles)
Jeff: Wow, that was really yummy! Thanks Wiggles
(All four Wiggles happly laugh as a glitter transitions to the credits of the short)
