Simon: Right.
Lachy: ..your feet in the shape of the little "V".
Simon: A "V".
Lachy: Now try this. All you have to do is jump with your feet and clap your hands, like this.
(He sings, while jump & clap.) Jump, clap
Jump and clap...
Good! Everybody try it!
Jump and clap...
Everybody, that looks fantastic. Let's try it again with some Irish dancing.
(with Simon singing.) I'll tell me ma when I get home
The boys won't leave the girls alone
I'll tell me ma they stole me comb
But that's alright till I get home
She is handsome, she is pretty
She is the belle of Belfast City
She is a-courting One, two, three
Please would you tell me, who is she?
Albert Mooney says he loves her
All the boys are fighting for her
Knock at the door, they're ringing the bell
Saying, "Oh, my true love, are you well?"
Out she comes as white as snow
Rings on her fingers, bells on her toes
Old Jenny Murray says she'll die
If she doesn't get the fella with the roving eye...
Anthony: Everybody, clap your hands!
Lachy & Simon: (singing) Let the wind and the rain and the hail blow high
And the snow come a-tumbling from the sky
She's as sweet as apple pie
She'll get her own right, by and by
When she gets a lad of her own
She won't tell her ma till she gets home
Let them all come as they will
For it's Albert Mooney she loves still
I'll tell me ma when I get home
The boys won't leave the girls alone
I'll tell me ma they stole me comb
But that's alright till I go home
She is handsome, she is pretty
She is the belle of Belfast City
She is a-courting One, two, three
Please would you tell me, who is she?
Albert Mooney says he loves her
All the boys are fighting for her
Knock at the door, they're ringing the bell
Saying, "Oh, my true love, are you well?"
Out she comes as white as snow
Rings on her fingers, bells on her toes
Old Jenny Murray says she'll die
If she doesn't get the fella with the roving eye
Let them all come as they will
For it's Albert Mooney she loves still.
Simon: Oh, give yourselves a really big clap. That was great Irish dancing! And clap your hands, everyone. (They're clapping, while Emma & the Irish dancers are leaving the stage.) Irish dancing.
